Frontline leaders have the important roles of building a productive, motivated and happy team; achieving organisational goals; and developing each individual team member to achieve their career potential.

This is this highly interactive workshop allowing you to identify your natural leadership style and adapt it to suit different situations and team needs. It is equally suitable for newly appointed and experienced team leaders, supervisors, and managers.

For any participants who are teachers, completing this course will contribute 7 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW and complies with the Start Strong Program funding guidelines. What we’ll cover:

This professional development explores the impact that your communication style has on group dynamic and on individuals. The colourful metaphor taught in this course will change forever how you relate to others. You’ll learn how to recognise and enjoy personality differences in your team. What’s more you’ll leave the workshop energized, re-motivated and with new strategies to manage team activities and lead your team.

  • The key difference between being a leader and a manager
  • The qualities of a good leader
  • Applying the techniques of situational leadership
  • Your natural leadership, and communication styles and how they impact on team dynamic
  • Why you can work well with some team members but find it hard to engage with others
  • About your core values and how they impact on your judgements
  • How to spot and harness the talents in team members which you may previously have overlooked
  • How to recognise, appreciate and benefit from the collective and individual working styles of your team
  • How to leverage off the skills and working styles of your team to achieve maximum outcomes
  • Strategies to develop individuals so as to maximize their career potential and at the same time achieve team goals.
  • How to motivate and energise others and bring spontaneity and fun into everyday activities.
